Jun Chen, Doctor

Dr. Jun Chen is a member of the Board of Directors of ISBD and is a psychiatrist at Shanghai Mental Health Center, affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.

In recent years, he has revitalized interest in bipolar disorders in China and ensured that the latest knowledge concerning this illness is shared widely. He has been pivotal in raising interest and engagement with ISBD in China at both recent virtual ISBD conferences and the World Bipolar Day. His research has focussed on the phenomenonology and treatment of bipolar disorders, including clinical research involving, big data analysis, cognitive function, and neuroimaging. He is passionate about reducing stigma and social discrimination for people with bipolar disorders, improving the standardization of treatment, and bringing a better quality of life to patients and their families.
