Dr. Jibran Khikhar is a neuropsychopharmacologist employing behavioral, imaging, electrophysiology, and molecular biology techniques to study topics in addictions and mental health, with a special focus on the translational study of co-morbid addiction and psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Khokhar’s innovative and highly productive research program uses a variety of behavioural, pharmacological and translational neuroimaging techniques to understand the mechanisms underlying, and the consequences of, substance use in vulnerable populations such as patients with schizophrenia, adolescents, or those genetically at-risk for substance use.
