Speakers
Dr Siddharth Sarkar is an Additional Professor at the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. He has been working in the field of addiction psychiatry and is in charge of the dual diagnosis clinic at his institution. Has received travel fellowship from the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) and the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology (JSPN). He has received the Young Psychiatrist Award of the Indian Psychiatric Society. He has served on the editorial board of several journals in the field of psychiatry and is the deputy editor of the Indian Journal of Psychiatry. He has managed several funded projects.
Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UniCamillus (International Medical University in Rome) in Rome, he obtained the Specialization in Psychiatry at the University of Pisa and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology – BiBiM 2.0 “Progetto Pegaso”, Cycle XXXII, University of Siena. He obtained the Second Level Master in Pharmaco-Toxicological and Behavioral Addictions, University of Pisa and completed the Specialization Course in «systematic reviews and meta- analysis for the production of evidence-based guidelines, Cochrane methodology», University of Milan. In 2017 he obtained the national scientific qualification to act as associate professor in psychiatry. He was a Research Fellow at the Rockefeller University (New York, USA) under the guidance of Dr. M.J. Kreek and the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) under the guidance of Dr. M. Krausz during his specialist training. He is a lecturer at the Master’s Degree in «Psychopathology of Neurodevelopment in Adults» (University of Pisa) and in «Addiction Medicine» (UniCamillus, Rome) and at the «School of Specialization in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (PerFormat, Pisa). He is part of the Editorial Board of «Heroin Addiction and Related Clinical Problems», “Journal of Clinical Medicine”, «International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health», «Austin Addiction Science» and is Associate Editor of «Frontiers» in the «Addictive Disorders» section. He is president of the Italian Section of the World Association on Dual Disorder «WADD- Italia» and of the «Society of Clinical and Experimental Psychiatry of the School of Pisa». He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Drug Addiction «SITD», of the Board of Directors of the Regional Section of Tuscany in the Italian Society of Drug Addiction «SITD» and of the Association for the Use of Neuroscientific Knowledge for Social Purposes «AU-CNS». He worked as a full-time Medical Doctor at the UOC of Psychiatry, USL Toscana Nord Ovest (Versilia area) from May 2016 to March 2024. He is co-author of more than 160 scientific articles indexed on Scopus (H-index 27) and has taken part in more than 70 international and national conferences as a speaker.

The WADD invites authors to submit their clinically difficult cases to be considered for inclusion in our next Webinar
Candidates must follow these guidelines for the submission set out below:
Guidelines for the Submission of Difficult Clinical Cases:
- Abstract submission must be completed online via the form on this message and through the WADD website
- Make sure that the title is clear, and the abstract does not exceed the 10/15 lines
- It must include an explanation of the differential diagnoses and treatment
- Cases must be presented in English
- The cases to participate will be selected by the chairs of the webinar from among the candidates presented
- Deadline for Abstracts submission: 31st March 2025
