    Prof. Shalini Arunogiri

    Associate Professor Shalini Arunogiri is a clinical addiction psychiatrist and researcher. She is Clinical Director of a national addiction treatment service at Turning Point in Melbourne, Australia. She is an Associate Professor and National Health and Medical Research Council Emerging Leader Research Fellow at Monash University. Shalini has served as Chair of the Faculty of Addiction Psychiatry committee at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) for six years. She is also a board member and education and training chair for the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM).

    Shalini is co-editor in chief of Advances in Dual Diagnosis and a deputy editor for Drug and Alcohol Review. Following completion of her PhD in methamphetamine associated psychosis, Shalini’s research has focused on innovative and integrated treatments for addiction and mental health co-morbidity, particularly for trauma or PTSD. She has published over 60 refereed papers and attracted over $20 million in competitive research funding. Shalini is a passionate advocate for women in medicine, and enjoys mentoring and supervising clinician-researchers.
